Prototype Flag Pocket Notebook

The design, created by Buffalo architect Louis Greenstein, was made for a competition during Old Home Week in 1907. The seal in the center features a ship approaching a lighthouse. A buffalo stands on top of the circle, and the 13 stars surrounding it represent the 13 colonies. The lightning bolts represent Buffalo's early adoption of electricity. This is a pocket notebook with blank pages on the inside and the prototype flag on the cover.
