Do you love both sports and history? Support the Buffalo Bills while wearing a hat designed from a quilt straight out of our Julia Reinstein Collection!
This quilt was one of sixteen tops made by Anna Marie Straus Strickrott and Anna Margaret Boyer for the youngest daughter's dowry chest. It was a Strickrott family tradition for the mother to piece one quilt top per year for each daughter until her seventeenth birthday. The daughter was then responsible for quilting them. The quilter's daughter, Anna Margaret Boyer, was in her sixties when she decided in the 1920s to quilt her dowry tops for her granddaughters. Mrs. Julia Boyer Reinstein, the donor of this quilt, was one of those granddaughters.
This quilted puffer hat is a unquie piece in your winter collection! One size fits most.
